Listed below are all of the Boy Scout Leader Position Specific courses (Scoutmaster Position Specific and Troop Committee Position Specific) available around Central Florida Council through December 2011. All districts are asked to send their complete training schedules to Nell Colbert at necolbert@usa.net as soon as possible. As additional information is received, it will be added to future promotional announcements.

The courses below are listed by date along with information on how to register for these classes as well as who to contact if you have questions.

Prior registration for all training sessions is REQUIRED in order to allow each training team to adequately prepare handouts and other materials used during the trainings. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL – please register through the contact information listed for the particular district in which you would like to attend training.

Scouters are encouraged to attend training in any district – just pick a date and location that is convenient for you and register for that training as noted below.

EVERY SCOUTMASTER, ASSISTANT SCOUTMASTER MUST HAVE POSITION SPECIFIC TRAINING IN ORDER TO RECHARTER IN OCTOBER and committee members will need to be trained for the October 2012 recharter!

Remember – every boy deserves a trained leader.

Information on Cub Scout Leader Position Specific and all outdoor training opportunities will be sent out in separate emails.

If the information for your district is not listed here, please contact your Training Chair or your District Executive for more information. As information from more districts is received, it will be shared.

Complete listings for all training opportunities can be found on the training page on the council website:

http://cflscouting.org/Leaders/Training/tabid/71/Default.aspx

If the dates this training is offered in your own district do not fit into your personal schedule, please look at the dates this course is available in neighboring districts and pick a date that works for you. Leaders may take training in any district.

Please remember – a scout is courteous: If you will not be able to attend a training session for which you register, please remember to cancel your registration so that your slot may be opened up to someone else who would like to attend.

An Untrained Leader working with our youth is UNACCEPTABLE!

Because every boy deserves a trained leader!
