Now that our districts are getting ready for the new program year and have many new committee members, here’s a way to get those new District Committee members trained so that your District Committee runs effectively!

 

Have FUN and network with leaders from other districts who have the same job that you have!

Remember – an untrained leader working with our youth is simply unacceptable and getting our unit level leaders begins with having trained DISTRICT level leaders to set the example and show them the way!

 

 

 

You’re invited to attend the Little Econ District Committee Training and Project Management Workshop on Saturday, August 27, 2011. 

 

 

Check-in begins at 8:30am and the training will begin at promptly at 9am and will conclude by 4:30pm.

 

The training will cover the Four Functions of District Operation and help volunteers to identify the major task of their district assignment. The Project Management Workshop will teach you how to develop event budgets that meet our council’s budgeting requirements, produce quality flyers using the Central Florida Council’s standard procedures for flyers and how to effectively promote your events to your intended audience.

  • Finance (includes product sales, fundraising and FOS)
  • Membership (includes recruiting, unit growth and Webelos to Scout Transition)
  • New Unit Organization
  • Camping and Outdoor Program
  • Activities and Civic Service
  • &n bsp; Training
  • Advancement
  • Learning for Life/Exploring
  • Key-3 (includes major tasks of the Key-3 and giving leadership to the district)
  • Project Management Workshop (recommended for anyone on the training, camping and/or activities committees who need to plan district level events from training events to derbies to campouts/camporees to banquets, etc.)

 

 

 

This training is NOT restricted to District Committee Members – any unit leader who wants to learn more about District Operations is encouraged to attend.

 

All registrations must be completed before by August 24th in order to allow adequate time fo r preparation of food and materials.
