Addition Notes:
The Scout should call the District Eagle Board to schedule his project or his Eagle Board. For the Eagle Board, the scout should know if the troop has received his five reference letters if his application has been signed off by Council and who the individual the troop selected to sit on his board.
What should the Scout Bring?
Scouts should be in full Class A Uniform.
For a project review, the Scout should have two copies of his Eagle Project Notebook with all required signatures.
For an Eagle Board, the Scout should come with three copies of his Eagle Project, his Boy Scout Handbook, his Eagle Application, an advancement report, and should insure that his troop is sending someone with his recommendation letters. The troop should insure their representative on the Board is aware of the time and location of the Eagle Board.
Can someone from the Troop be there?
Yes, Troops should pick one person to sit on a boy’s Eagle Board (not a Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster). Scoutmasters or Assistant Scoutmaster may observe the project review or Eagle Board, but are not allowed to speak. Sitting in on an Eagle Scout project review is a good way to learn what is expected of a project.
