Upcoming Events

Good Morning-

I know many of my emails have been pretty short and random over the past month since I have been spending most my time in schools, so I thought I would put together a single email, that hopefully helps answers most of  your questions.

Recruitment: Much of our school recruitment has been completed and we have signed up close to 600 new families . Many of you are still bringing in applications which is great! The best way to add boys to your unit is through peer to peer recruitment. Please have your boys invite other friends to the next activity. Always be encouraging them to be inviting new friends to scouts. Here is a link to a way you can format a simple email invite your boys can send out. http://www.scouting.org/sitecore/content/Home/Marketing/Recruiting/WordsToLiveBy/Evite.aspx

Training: I think we have hit this pretty hard already. Bottom line, we need our leaders trained. If you are not fully trained, please attend October 8th. Flier is attached.

Camping:

District Events: Webelos Woods, Oct 1-2. Flier attached. Cub Family Campout Oct 7-8 Flier Attached.

You will be able to drop off the food you collect and Winn Dixie in Sanford of 17-92, or Longwood of 434 anytime between 9:30-1:00. Great Service project we all participate in that  helps fill a great need in our community.

Recharter: Packets will be handed out at October Roundtable, and will be due back at November Roundtable.

Popcorn. Pickup of first order is this week. Please be sure to use all means to sell, show and sells, door to door, email, be creative! More info and dates and such can be found at: www.popcorn.cflscouting.org

Thanks, and have a good week!
