Pinewood Derby® Checklist for Cub Scouts
1. Download the Official Event Guide. Your Pack rules should conform with the District Rules in order to allow Scouts to make a single car that will pass inspection and qualify for both events. If your Pack Rules Differ from the District Rules, you will need to either modify your PWD car to comply with the District Rules or make another car. As this is an OPEN INVITATION EVENT, you are NOT required to run the same car from your Pack Derby in the District Derby. You WILL be required to enter a PWD car that you made during the CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR.
2. Pre-Register your entry with the online entry form below. This will make Race-Day Registration FASTER and more efficient.
3. Stay tuned to communications regarding “Tune Up” days to be held in February and March, so you don’t miss out on an opportunity to tune your car to the actual track that will be used for this event.
